AUTUMN WORSHOP 2027 – dates to be released

LOCATION: Taylors Mistake Surf Club
229 Taylors Mistake Road, Christchurch, New Zealand

This is a creative weekend …

to reignite your already talented soul! There is no doubt that every person grew up with a wonderful imagination. The question is when did you stop listening to it. A weekend with me will be a weekend to allow that beautiful, courageous self a free pass! Open that wild heart, believe you can … and by the end of the two days, you will be carving your way home, full of possibilities.

It’s a weekend to get together, learn how to carve into paint, whilst at the same time, be nourished with delicious food, be enthralled with crazy stories and be in a place where you can share your own. Set right on the beach at Taylors Mistake, this epic venue has a view to inspire you all weekend long. All that awaits is your beautiful energy to come and get creative!

Two full days of art-ing, chatting, eating and ending with your own special artwork and skills to take home to create further. All you have to do is turn up, bring a sense of fun and 1 x Resene test pot of your favourite colour and inspiration is welcomed in the form of printouts.

We will provide the paper, easy-carve mats, tools, prepped board, food with plenty of refreshments and good company. My wonderful friend Sarah Tanner is there alongside me all weekend helping out in the kitchen and for support.

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

  • You will carve into a 200mm x 200mm square prepped board.
  • Workshop location, 229 Taylors Mistake Road. You can easily spot the Surfclub right on the beach. Plenty of parking in the Taylors Mistake Beach car park.

    Testimonials

“Spending a weekend creating under the guidance of Hannah Jensen Fox and enjoying the culinary delights of Sarah Tanner, was nothing short of pure magic! Hannah’s deep reverence for the natural world, her soulful approach to art, and the way she gently nurtures creativity made the experience truly inspiring. Hannah holds space with such love and authenticity, it felt less like a course and more like a homecoming to the artist within. She guides with generosity, skill, and a contagious love for the process. I am so grateful for the wisdom, warmth, and beauty she so generously shared. I left feeling grounded, inspired, and ready to create with new purpose.”

    Debbie Hawker, Taylors Mistake 2025

“Thank you so much for such a soul filing weekend. I really got the impression when we all introduced ourselves that the group of women have many balls in the air, and it felt like a real opportunity to spend time on ourselves; something that often gets pushed down the pecking order. The art was fabulous, but also the beautiful setting, the amazing food and the camaraderie and support. I just loved wandering around the table and seeing what everyone came up with, I loved your unwavering support when ideas changed and the careful and gentle teaching, which really built confidence.”

Michaela Glanville, Taylors Mistake May 2025

“Hannah is even more genuine and lovely in person than she seems on Instagram. She is both talented and confident which gives her a wonderful teaching style. Doing a carving Workshop with Hannah is a joy and an experience that you will want to do again and again.”
